While checking my debit card, I noticed a charge from crctinhelp.com and called to find out what it was for. What I received was a bunch of gobblygook about assisting other companies and that they were not able to tell me what company they were representing. I continued to persist until I was promised a refund of the $2.50, which I will probably never see. I promptly cancelled my card.

- Update 11/16. Today I saw a refuend of $2.50 along with another charge of $2.50 from the same organization. When i called to complain again I was told the charges were from an online money-making scheme called LifestyledealsNOw.com, posing as a legitimate charge. Since I have never heard of these people and have not used their services and was not told of this name when I called on 9 November to complain about the same charge, it's clear to me that they are trying to obfuscate with "smoke and mirrors". I have cancelled my card earlier (9 nov) and am still awaiting a replacement, it's also clear they have my bank account #. I may need to close my account to get away. This will cause a major disruption in my life as I have everytthing tied to this account. What good are consumer protection laws when you can't stop this kind of activity????

- I agree!! Why isn't anyone held responsible for these crimes!! I am seriously thinking I might just have to do the same.
