It first started on 10/26/2012 when I arrive at the Memphis International Airport and found that I had no flight to board my cruise ship, Carnival Liberty, that was to depart at 4pm on 10/27/2012 from Miami, FL. I had paid my full airline fair to McCloud travel and tours in August 2012. All week I had requested my flight and booking information for the cruise. I received many excuses and lied to several times regarding my paperwork and flight. Finally I received a "text" of my booking number regarding the cruise, but no flight information. After the distrubing news of no flight I knew I had been "duked". At this point I cut off all communication with McCloud travel and tours and begin communicating directly with Carinval Cruise Line. I call and verified with Carnival that I had a valid booking number that was paid in full. I then inform them to lock in my cruise and do not allow anyone to cancel or change. After being in the airport from 11:00am to 2:00pm, with no flights available to Miami, and McCloud not producing a flight, I knew I had to get there. My girlfriend and cousin who had Carnival bookings also found themselves in the same situation as myself. We then decided to rent a car and drive 1700 miles from Memphis to Miami in order not to lose the cruise. This expense cost an additional $700.00. This would include the rental of the car, gas, tolls, luggage return, parking for a week, and food travel expense. This has cause much duress and I can never trust a travel agent again. I will make all of my travel arrangements for any travel I do from now on. Please do not trust McCloud travel with any of your arrangements.
