I recived two text messages in the middle of the night ne at 1:15am and the other at 4:15am stated that I won a contest that I entered and will recieve a 1000.00 gift card. I have never entered a contest with Target. This was scary getting text messages in the middle of the night making me think that something might be wrong with a family member or a friend. How do I stop getting these text messages.

- Janet; I received the identical message, plus 2 more around 2:30 am and 4:30 am. I have resorted to not having my phone in the bedroom where it will make me up...but of course what if it was an emergency regarding my college age sons? It is scary when it wakes you us! I just registered my number with the "Federal No-Call List" and will contact Verizon tonight. You can fill out a complaint to the FTC, but I just found out Cloudmark has a software agreement with mobile carriers and you can forward the spam text to 7726 and they will block the number. However in my case, its been from 3 different area codes. So my cell # has been spread around the country, and one even knew my first name! Whatever you do, DO NOT respond because it lets them know you have a "live number" and they will sell that number to other scammers! Laurie
