I purchased a pair of shoes from The Style Shoes using PayPal, which was the only option for payment. The shoes cost me $74.98. Many days after I ordered my shoes, I received a very cheap sponge in the mail. I immediately filed a report with PayPal. I was informed that I needed to send the sponge back to the seller in China to receive my refund. Of course, I was responsible for the shipping. I returned the sponge to the seller and was then informed by PayPal that they could not give me my refund. I have read other complaints stating that the same thing has happened to many others. PayPal has always claimed to be a secure way to order on line and I am very disappointed in the way that they handled this situation. Not only did I loose the initial $74.98, but I also paid the shipping, and do not even have a cheap sponge to do dishes with in the end. On 11/30/2012, PayPal closed my complaint informing me that I would not receive a refund. I would highly recommend that everyone avoid using PayPal and remove your account information from there site.
