Was contacted by "Walter Goodman" from County Check Services. They informed me I'd written a bad check in 2005 to a payday loan and did everything to make it sound like I'd be served papers in 48 hours if I did not pay them $886 immediately. They had called for days previously, but this is the 1st time they had left a voice mail.

They refused to send me documentation of the debt, only stating that I'd "Defrauded a Financial Institution" They claimed to be working with my county's police but when asked could not answer what county I resided in, nor what county was "waiting to press charges". just that if I paid the sum, I wouldn't have to worry about it.

When I informed them that I would love to see them in court to get this resolved they hung up on me and upon further calls refused to speak to me about the case. So far $0 in damages, and I hope that is the limit of it. They were calling from 410-709-1840

I had a period in my life (before the time of their claim) where I wasn't financially responsible that I've gone to great lengths to repair where possible and I suffer from serious anxiety issues, so believe me this has been an excruciating experience.
