In early september 2012 i received a fax from world wide America travel with discounted vacation packages. I discussed the packages with some friends ( 4 couples of us)and we chose the 8 day Mexican Revera cruise with complementary air, $250. p.p total of 2,000.00. I called 1-888-609-1187 and spoke with sales person"lucy" ext. (8899)and she informed me that we would have to pay the $205.pp by check at the time we bought pkg, she assured me that was the total price except for a $69.p.p booking fee (x8=$552.)Travel Center was the company handeling the booking, They also requested this be paid from my checking account.At this time we would receive our vouchers and trave docummments. I paid this money to Travel Centert in Oct/12 did not receive the vouchers until 12/3/12. I was shocked when I reviewed them and realized all the other cost and restrictions. Another Co.Grand Incentives would handle the air fare,they required a $25 pp processing fee to be paid by US postal money order. With other taxes and service fees payable at the time of ticketing the amount was not given, leaving you open for any amount.Lastly when I contacted the cruise line I was told we would have to pay an additional $299. pp for taxes. Departure dates would only be on Tuesday, Carnival ship sails on Sat. or Sun, meaning we would have to pay fo r4 or 5 nights in a hotel another $400. to $500. per couple. I called for refunds since I was not informed of all the additional cjharges at the time I purchased the vacation pkgs.I called nuremous times and each time the person I spoke with would refer me to someone else. At world Wide Travel I spoke with "Ed"and he told me to call Travel Center and speak to "Crystal or Ray"I called four times before I was finally able to speak to "Crystal" she told me I would have tto contact World Wide Americ Travel about my refund. I calle dthem back and spoke with "wayne Williams" he stated his company could not refund any money.I called Travel Center back and spoke with "Donna" she informed me that I would have to send the request by E-mail, which I did 1/3/13 as of today 1/10/13 have not heard from her.
These companies ar misleading, and once they get your money they just give you the run-around and leaving you frustated and angry.
Any thing you can do to help retrieve my money will be greatly appreciated.
Total due 8 people 2,000.00 from world wide America Travel an booking fees for 8 people $552.00 from Travel Center.
