I purchased one or two songs on bearshare and they started charging my credit card $9.95 / month subscription fee. It is not clear when purchasing the song that you are also agreeing to purchase a monthly subscription at $9.95 a month! I don't use the credit card very often and it is paid throught my checking account so this has been going on for 14 months which adds up to about $140!
