I received a call from "Steve Wilson" from 859-908-9950. He was very rude and insisted that I owed a debt of $10,542 from 2004 and that if I didn't pay immediately he would send the sheriff out with court documents. He also stated he was going to take my car. I have never had a debt for this amount and he couldn't give me any pertinent details about this. After several screaming matches over the phone I told him that I would be contacting my lawyer.

I have received 2 calls on my home phone from these people. I submitted the following on s c a m b o o k . c o m:
Received a message from 415-829-5248 saying: "I'm attempting to serve notice on record to a (my name) in regard to case file number, XXXXXX naming you as a primary person of interest. This is your official notification of the process". The recording then went on to say if I wanted to voluntarily resolve this claim to call back. Told me to call 855-599-9500 and ask David Lewiston of GMG. I don't have any outstanding debts and my credit reports are clean (checked all 3). There is nothing suspicious on any of them and no recent attempts to obtain credit in my name.
I also posted this response to another post on the same website:
I have also filed a complaint with the Attorney General (California). I got a written response today. They advised in the last paragraph: "If you do not have any delinquent debts, the call may simply be fraudulent. In that case, your best option is to screen-out and hang-up on such calls". They also stated that is very simple and inexpensive to display any number on a caller ID (they called it Caller ID Spoofing) and that the calls can be coming from "anywhere in the world". They advised to "NOT to give any credit card or bank account info over the phone". If it is a legitimate collection agency, to "ask them to send a bill in the mail".

I found a company with an exact matching name in Weston, Florida. The name, address and phone number is listed as:

I just filed a complaint with the Florida State Attorney General saying that I suspect that this may be the same company harassing me and others along with the phone numbers that I was called from and asked to call as well as the name David Lewiston. I suggest others consider doing the same. If I can confirm that they are the people responsible, I will have them served with a cease and desist order and press charges. I also filed a complaint with my local Attorney General (see my previous entry above). -
