Complaint

I applied for a business grant (www.grants.gov) in June 2012, and received a call from Ms. Griffin at (202-999-4129) she inform me that I was pre-approved for a business grant and she gave me a case number C9916. She then recommended that I call Jeff McBane at High Mark Financial Services (561-327-4045) to have my grant written by a certified grant writer Candy Benson.

My contact with Jeff McBane seem to be professional he give clear information, gave me some deadlines for the grant to be written, and submitted. I was to receive the grant for ($100,000.00) December 14, 2012 by grant agency from the government to start my business, and the season holidays push the grant into 2013.

To start the process I was to have a certified bank check made out to Candy Benson (grant writer) for the amount of $270.00 (contract# PTY23039) to start writing the grant and mailed the check to Candy Benson at 2250 N.W. 114th Ave., Unit 1P, Miami, FL 33172.

A total of five (5) cashier’s checks (total amount $1,167.00) was sent to this complaint for: writing the grant, cost for being tax exempt, cost for being notarize from the Federal to the State and other miscellaneous cost.
