I was contacted by Aaron Cox about a loan modification. Aaron Cox said that his firm Clear Vision Financial specialized in working with mortgage companies to reduce payments for people that are upside down on there mortgages. Aaron Cox said that he would work with our lender and get our mortgage balance reduced and our current interest rate reduced to lower our payment. My wife and myself filed out the paper work and sent him 2 checks for $1397.50 each, the first was dated for 3/1/2013 and the second was dated for 4/1/2013. Aaron Cox also said that we qualified for a Federal Grant in the sum of $2400. to help off set some of the initial cost to get our old mortgage modified to the new mortgage. Aaron Cox told us and sent us a contract stating that our payments would be reduced from $1573.93 to 962.38 and the first payment would be due for May 2013 if we went along with his program. This seemed all good to my wife and myself because we had contacted our mortgage company to refi and were unable to because of the type of loan we have. I told Aaorn Cox all of this and assured me that it could be done, all we needed to do is fax him over the signed paper work and sen the originals in the mail with the 2 checks. Aaron Cox also stated that he would be in touch with me every Tuesday to keep us updated on the progress. We started getting threatening letters from our mortgage company in March, I contacted Aaron Cox and he told me they were just computer generated letters and that everything was on schedule. I had an Insurance claim check that needed to be signed by our mortgage company and I called Aaron Cox to see what I should do, Aaron Cox told me to contact my lenders insurance division and ask about how to handle the check. I contacted Colonial Savings and explained who I was and they told me that my loan was in default and that I needed to make my payments that my mortgage was not convertible nor could it be modified because it was not backed by the government. I spoke with a loan consultant for a couple of hours and what we were trying to do. The loan consultant said that Clear Vision Financial, Aaron Cox or anyone else has never been in contact with them and that our loan could not be converted. I contact Aaron Cox and explained all this to him, he got upset with me and said that he would refund 100% of our money back to us and we could just stay with our old mortgage. Aaron Cox also said that someone from there accounting department would be getting a hold of me before days end. I received a call 2 days later from there accounting department. I was told that they would send me out a form to fill out and possibly I could get my money back, I told her that Aaron Cox guaranteed in person our money back 100%. I still haven't heard nothing from Clear Vision Financial or Aaron Cox. I have left many messages and I have also contacted the Illinois Attorney General and the California Attorney General's office. I have also contacted an Attorney. I am following the steps to get this matter taken care off. I feel I have been Scammed and I want Aaron Cox and Clear Vision Stopped from doing this to anyone else. My name is Keith (Personal Information Removed)and I can be contacted at (Personal Information Removed) or my phone number is(Personal Information Removed). Thank you for looking in to this Scam for me.
Sincerely,

Keith S (Personal Information Removed)

  • I was skeptical when I heard from clear vision about a loan modification program that could help people like me. I listen patiently through their spiel and was ready with my polite decline to participate. The Person I talked to went over the qualifying questions carefully, (A lot of companies don't do this.) that made me think that this would perhaps be different. They told me at nothing counted more than accuracy, thoroughness, and promptness with all requested and required forms. He carefully took all my info then got back with me later that day with a list of forms and docs I was going to need to present a strong enough case to be approved for my the Government program. I then spoke with Aaron who was very honest with me and said that once these apps where done their was an element for the risk that I might be denied. The truth was I was already out of options with my lender anyway, they seemed, "Hell bent on Foreclosure." Luckily they did not have the opportunity to do so I was approved and the program President Obama set up to help families like mine was able to get me over the roughest times. I am now making enough money to pay my mortgage at a fixed rate and the payments are manageable, things aren't as easy as they were before but they are do-able. I could not thank Aaron Cox enough. He said to do what he said to do, when he said to do it. I understand that kind of thinking because we always had every thing arranged in a row and would not be pressed for time and making lenders irritated waiting.
Aaron said that it would make their jobs easier and they would appreciate it. I just wanted to take this opportunity to give back ... I found this complaint on the net trying to find Aarons contact info again, Thank God I did not listen to Mr. Type a lot. Sorry you had a bad experience, but I bet you prolly got lazy with all the documents or left important issues out in the interview process. You can't get a Mod with information that's not really you.

  • Richard, has there been any resolution to this? we were also clients, but the time line for our modification went so long that we are looking at either a short sale of our home or filing bankruptcy. If this place is good, then we must have fallen through the cracks, or the person they put in charge of our negotiation was an idiot because our lender never spoke with them.

i would like to know how this has ended for you.
