When trying to reach the California DMV using Google I was directed to Cartagz Vehicle Registration web site which looks just like the the CA DMV site and was shocked to see two phoney charges added to the total as given by my DMV Registration Renewal Notice. In my case the DMV total due was $107 and the total required by Cartagz was 138.65 which was an increase of 29.6% or $31.65---which is a nice return for Cartagz! For registration do not trust Google. Go directly to the REAL DMV site at www.DMV.CA.GOV and you will avoid this phoney site with its bogus charges.
