I had booked a cruise with Go Go Travel Sep 21, 2012 to Western Caribbean on Feb 24, 2013. Just a week before departure, Feb 17, 2013, I had a accident and broke my wrist badly, was on cast and might need surgery as doctor advised, so I have to cancel my trip.

I called the next day, Monday, Feb 18, Catherine, the travel agent (boss) whom I bought the trip from. All she told me was there is nothing she can do about it b/c it's less than a week. I was quite shock as I thought I have cancellation insurance on this trip, as I had bought it on my last trip with her. I kept saying to her that she never reminded me of getting insurance for this trip, so I assumed it was done like my last trip; she was quiet as I kept bringing this topic up. All she said was there was nothing she can do!

So I called the Cruise Line directly, the C.S. Rep was surprised that I called them as I told her my situation, she said the travel agency should take care of this, and I told the Rep that there was nothing the agent could do as she claimed. So the Rep was nice enough to follow up for me. In no time, Catherine from Go Go called me right away, claimed that I could get the Gov't Fees ($141.00)back, and asked if I need a confirmation of cancellation notice? What a surprise of getting at least $141.00 back compare to nothing in the beginning, if I haven't called the Cruise Company myself! That's made me wonder how could Catherine no know about this refund as she has been in this industry for so long, same as not reminding me of the cancellation insurance at time of purchase as I was told that all travel agents will do b/c they get commission on selling it!!

I feel Catherine wasn't doing her job properly as a travel agent to sell me cancellation insurance, or to remind me of such! She should give me a full refund b/c of her lack of service, both before and after!

Update: 09/06/2013

So far I have not heard from anyone from Go Go Travel yet! How could they be so unprofessional!
