Son was involved in accident with someone who had Unique Insurance. He was hit in the side (totaled car)when this person made a left hand turn on a flashing yellow arrow, son had green light.
Person hitting him got wrongful turn, no valid drivers license, no insurance and providing false insurance card. And officer on scene stated definitely his fault.
Car belonged to someone else, and they apparently had Unique Insurance.
All of a sudden after claim filed story changed and they claim after investigating accident it was sons fault and deny the claim.
Some investigation they done, no adjuster ever came to look at the car and Unique did not call and take statement from son, they sent a questionnaire for him to fill out, but then sent a denial letter before questionnaire had time to even get back to them. Phone calls are worthless, they just say to bad. All reviews I've seen on this company say same thing....they make you take them to court or they won't pay. Guess they figure most people don't have the means to do so. Insurance commission should put them out of business.
