I inquired about a "free" kitten in Washington State. I received a text message with a California area code informing me that the free kitten cost $600 and would be shipped to my doorstep. When I replied that I was not expecting a free kitten to cost that much, the person asked how much I could afford to spend and asked if I promised to take good care of the kitten. Though I have no proof this is a scam, have a bad feeling about the whole thing and hope others will not pursue a pet through this website.
