Same as most of the people here. I ordered a piece of electronics from them (Lenovo y500) and was asked to pay with amazon gift card. They kept in touch with me, giving order confirmations, responding to emails, and shipping confirmation, but I never received my product. I've been corrisponding with Amazon, trying to get them to help, but they've been fighting me every step of the way.

  • Try calling Amazon and requesting to speak to a manager. I called a couple times and talked to the regular support people, and they weren't able to help, but I got a refund when I spoke to a manager.

  • Sorry for the delay, I just saw this. Basically I just explained what happened - I bought a laptop from an online vendor and transferred an Amazon gift card. It was a scam and I never got my laptop. Then I asked if I they could put a freeze on the gift card and refund me the amount. Make sure you talk to a manager though, the normal support staff are only able to put a request in, and it goes against their usual policy, so it will get denied.

  • No dice. The manager said the same thing as the support people. She said she'd convey this to the people who handle cards specifically, in hopes that they could assist me (they've already basically told me that they don't give a hoot about my problem). I guess you got a good one, heh. Thanks for your help though. Maybe, since it's coming from a manager this time, they'll be more generous? I hope so.

  • Could be. The manager I talked to was Cey L. I told her what happened, then she put me on hold and spoke to her supervisor about it. She got me an answer within 5 minutes. You could try asking for her if they shoot you down again. Otherwise I'm out of ideas. Best of luck.

  • They did shoot me down again. I will call again tomorrow and try for her, though I don't hold any expectations. Really, thanks for helping. Even though this has been crazy and stressful, just hearing from someone who understands is really helpful.
