Offered free downloads but asked for credit card number up front. Justified this by offering add-on services along with free stuff (like Adobe does, for example). Worse yet, they said they had a book I wanted to download, then told me they didn't have it after I signed up. (I would have been willing to pay something reasonable for the book.) So, I immediately canceled.
Then, a $1.01 charge shows up on your credit card bill which was not authorized or anticipated.
This appears to be a total scam.
