I was contacted by a JOHN SYKES, stating they got my resume off career builder. They were offering a part time virtual assistant position paying $2790/month , with a 30 day trial period. Upon completion of this trial period a payment of $2790.00 would be payed to me regardless of their choice to hire me for a one year contract. Of course I was skeptical and performed some Google searches looking for any info, bad or good, about the company but I was not successful.

At first there was great communication between my hr manager JOHN SYKES and myself about the tasks and the hiring process. After the first few tasks I started to lose faith in HAPPY LLC and questioned if this opportunity was indeed legit. They even had me contact a sculptor in Russia about purchasing a piece of artwork for a client. This is where the situation changed. I was told there was an issue transferring the payment from the client and my help was needed. A bank account was needed so the client could transfer payment for the sculpture to me. It was then MY responsibility to receive those funds and in turn wire them to the Russian artist.

At this time I agreed to the task only because I knew the account I would give them was empty and no funds could be tampered with and since I have been unemployed for a year my credit was horrible and wouldn't approve any line of credit in-turn hampering any attempt of fraudulent activity in my namesake. Coincidentally the client was unable to transfer the funds and I was told to be on 'stand by' to complete the task once the deposit posted to the account.

The communication between JOHN SYKES and myself became scattered. I received communications from him ensuring me they had spoken with the client and the money would be deposited soon. During this time my 30 day trial period was up but since my 'sculpture task' was not technically closed I would be unable to receive my trial period compensation. Surprisingly, JOHN SYKES informed me he was 'fighting for my compensation' and asking his bosses for a partial compensation for my completed tasks.

The e-mails became more scattered and no compensation or client payment had reached my account. I had let go of the idea of HAPPY LLC as a legit company and mysteriously, out of the blue,I received ANOTHER email from JOHN SYKES informing me to be ready the deposit will be in my account tomorrow. Of course there was never a deposit in my account.

I replied to JOHN SYKES asking about my compensation and contract of employment and why I should think he and his company were legit. I have yet to receive a response from JOHN SYKES or HAPPY LLC. The website is no longer accessible nor can I completely delete the time tracking tool from my computer.
