I started getting letters from Marie Duval promising good fortune and big opportunities for luck in games of chance in March 2013. For a while, I believed it because she gave me a talisman for luck, and shortly after that I got offered a better job. She also stated personal information of my past that seemed like she really could see my past. But, like so many others, I sent $45 payments here and there for special gifts and promises made for better income. Some came in 2-3 weeks later, but others only followed with more letters promising good fortune with a $45 fee for the cause. The last week of August 2013, I had sent a letter for a refund of $90, because I had sent two $45 payments for offers and gifts that were never received after oweeks of waiting. I never received the refund, only more letters stating I have an opportunity to receive large sums of money, and it is urgent that I send $45 for her help. I started to realize I was being scammed at that point, and the fact that she sent me a letter offering something that I had already paid for and not received. She also sent me a recent letter that was a repeat of one of my very first letters sent when from her. I know this because I had saved almost every letter she has sent me. I hope we catch this imposter, before they cost another poor desperate person a great eal of money. Not everyone has internet access, or knowledgable of using a computer. So, even though their over 100 complaints online for this scam, there are probably hundreds more that are unknown because they do not have access to an internet to be warned of the situation, and so it continues until someone can put a stop to this.
