Paul K who insisted a cash deposit of £150 was paid to him which incurred diesel costs and caused inconvenience as I had to drive to a cash point at 9pm. Your offer to the world as specified on your webpage states a maximum deposit of £100 is to be paid when placing an order. In view of this, I require an explanation why I was made to pay £150 and inconvenienced.
The kitchen was delivered on Wednesday 28 August 2013 and again your specified terms and conditions are incorrect as you do not provide the opportunity to examine anything as it is delivered and then your employees/sub contractors leave immediately.
The kitchen is not fit for purpose as defined in S6 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 as it has the following problems:-
1. the sink is marked
2. the quality of the sink is poor, marking when you look at it, Paul K described the sink and tap as of the ‘highest quality’ sadly the exact opposite is the truth
3. the sink will not lie flat and makes a noise if a pan is put on or taken off it
4. the waste system is dire leaking constantly therefore not fit for purpose
5. the tap is dented and also very poor quality
6. shelf missing in the 600 base unit
7. the worktops delivered should be birch and they are oak
8. worktops are warped
9. width of the worktops is inconsistent as all 3 are a different width
10. the white covering the chipboard has came off the drawers and there are internal marks as the quality is poor
11. the pins do not stay in consequently the shelves collapse in the cupboard adjacent to the washing machine every time it is used which has resulted in broken crockery which you need to compensate me for
12. wall units cannot be installed as there are no brackets
13. the finish is poor
14. 925 corner units the 2 door posts are missing which would result in a gap between the doors
15. 3 x highline 300 doors have not been delivered
16. plastic feet for the base units are not fit for purpose as they will not stay on and cannot take the weight of a cupboard
17. middle shelf in 925 unit does not fit as the holes are 5 mm out
18. no screws provided for the door hinges
19. drawer unit has a big gauge in it
20. base unit is scratched, split and has a hole in it
21. shelve are chipped destroying the appearance
22. glass door has a dent in it
23. chips on door handles
24. 2 x wall unit decor ends are missing
25. 925 corner unit doors are missing
26. Paul K’s drawing shows a 600 wall unit over a 600 base unit but you have delivered a 500 wall unit so the kitchen does not line up
