We were trying to find a flat in Maastricht. A girl (who rented that house) put an advert in a facebook group and she gave the e-mail adress of the landlord. The flat was in the center of the city and the price was quite fair. We contacted him and we signed a contract when he told us that we have to pay 1500 euros in advance ("The rent is 700euro monthly with utility bills of , payable in advance within 48hours of signing the agreement form"). We were starting to have doubts about it so we tryed to write a message to the girl who put the advert on facebook. The profile was deleted. He even sent a copy of his "legal passport". When we tried to have video chat with him he told us he doesn't have a webcam. We wrote his name in google and thanks to this site we found out that he tried to steal our money. Hope this story can also help other people.
