I answered an ad on Craigslist.Got an email that told me I was hired and to look for a check with my 1st assignment.Deposit the check, keep $400 and money gram the rest to an orphanage.I was also suppose to find prices on inexpensive gifts for boy,girls and teachers.
The reason I did not loose any money,is because before I deposit any check, I call the bank the check is drawn on to verify that it is a good check.

- I had the samething. I applied for a file clerk position. Shortly after got a reply from a Allen Chen on Nov7,2013. Saying they were opening an office in my area soon. That after consideration I was selected to be hired as a personal assistant. He said his name was Allen Chen was a Vice President of MTI. I did look into it and found everything that he said to be true. Told me that I would be paid $400 a week to start. About a week later I get an email with info on a check. I did get a check was asked to deposit it. I noticed the check was looked like it was printed wierd. I took it to the bank to verify it they wuestioned it. I called Allen to tell him if he wanted me to.go.to the actual bank and was told he would send a cashier check. Finally.did get that check. He kept pushing me to deposit this check. This time I was able to call the bank to verify it. Just to find out that thus check was cashed. So I new I was trying to be scammed. I've worked with processing checks. That cashiers check didn't seem right. When I wrote Allen to let him know that check was fake. Haven't heard from him. Thinking of reporting this.
