I was contacted on DateHookUp.com and was asked if I wanted to IM with him at his yahoo account. I guess I wasn't much of a financial mark, because after a few conversations, he stopped responding to my IMs. Unlike most scammers I've come across, he is VERY articulate and verbally adept at sounding like an american, first and a solider second....unfortunately, I've been approched by several scammers, some before and after him who weren't articulate, one of which, emotionally I fell for, but fortunately figured it out before I sent anything to him or received anything from him....I did however,tell him my full name, and unfortunately my cell number, but it is flagged by my service for ANY suspicious activity and I'll be notified immediately and it will be traced if they are dumb enough to use it....

- In the last few days I sent a message to a guy named Nick on PlentyOfFish.com. We only messaged each other 2 times. He told me he just came to the area 2 weeks ago and a buddy told him to try the site because he found his wife there. He then asked if we could IM on yahoo at davidturpin745. I added him to my yahoo and questioned him about the difference in names (thinking maybe one is a middle name). I have not heard from him since and now decided to google the name....Here I am seeing this. Thank the Lord for the internet and others who will report their stories. I am assuming he is a scammer. I also found a guy on Facebook with same name who looks a bit like the pics on POF. Says he is Military and lives in Afghanistan. ....Scammers BeWare!!!
