A person who called himself James Marshall phoned me and said I won $4,500,000 from the Mega Million Sweepstakes. He said his company is located in LasVegas, Nevada, and that he lives in Carson City, Nevada. Since our caller ID stated only "Private Caller" he told me that his telephone number was 1-876-325-8406. He further stated that I could claim this money if I gave $5,500 for an IRS Gold Seal Duty Fee and that he was here in Chicago, at the UPS Delivery Department today at the International Airport. However, he did not know the name of the airport he was at. I hung up on him several times, but he kept calling me back. He stated that he would come to our home and escort me to my bank, along with 2 security guards to collect a certified check in the amount of $5,500 in order for me to get my money. He also gave me other options to pay the money after I protested about going to my bank with him. He said I could go to Walmart and get some sort of a cash card, or I could give a credit card number. When I advised him that it was illegal to collect money for winning a sweepstakes, he lowered the amount he would charge to only $1,500, which I refused to pay. Then he asked me what amount could I pay and I told him "nothing" and hung up the phone once again. It is very hard to get rid of these people, because they keep calling you back after you hang up on them, but keep with it and they finally give up. It definitely is a scam.
