I bought a 2008 Chrysler Town & Country. I received a flyer to go in for a 5 year inspection for the "lifetime powertrain warranty". I was told I passed the inspection but it was past 5 years and my warranty expired. I asked why there was not a date on this postcard telling me when to come in by and why did I just receive this postcard informing me to come in now. Nobody knows at the dealership or at their Michigan corporation. They lectured me on remembering I signed a contract to come in at 5 year mark (no memory of the sales rep mentioning this at all!)and it was my own fault for being late. They said if I came in for service they would have checked but if I only came in for a recall they do not check this. I was told they would look into this and call back in 24-48 hours. Two weeks later I called them since I did not hear back. Another lecture on remembering 5 years later to do something, it is a big purchase I should have been more responsible, blah blah and then the guy says they will not renew the coverage. I am unsure if they are even right I was not in for service as I was in a bunch of times and I need to go to dealer to pull the records. Now I have a car with no powertrain warranty. Thanks for nothing Chrysler. You lost a customer for life.
