This company made unauthorized monthly charges of $7.95 to my wife's credit card for at least a year, via Paypal. She has received no goods or services from them, did not authorize the charges, and has never heard of them. The telephone number given on charge account statements is 888-896-4442 Utah (this may be Paypal's number). As I understand it, Paypal offers a service to merchants whereby they collect payments and forward them to the merchant in exchange for a fee.
I have complained to the credit card company which agreed only to suspend further charges.
My guess is, they collect small amounts like this (which are under the radar of the average credit card holder) month after month. To make it work, they conclude a service agreement with Paypal, provide a name and a credit card number. I don't know how they get this information.
