After completing an order with TigerDirect.com the sales associate asked if I would be interested in a $20 rebate today (12/18) I said sure and was transferred to a hard sale person with what I now know is a company called Affinion-group look them up - ripoff company.
I was told that I could get a $20 refund today and if I enrolled in a "Everyday Privileges" I'd like they could enroll me in another program "Shoppers Advantage" to get another $20 refund on a future purchase. I could cancel either one or both within 30 days and I would not be charged any more that the initial $1 sign up charge. I agreed and gave them my Credit Card Info. Later that evening I had still not seen anything about the $20 refund that I was told I would receive "Today" I called the Affinion-Group the next morning and got a really snotty customer service rep who told me if I would just be patient I would be setup in their system in 24 - 48 hours, that it never would be on the day I signed up. I spoke to a supervisor who told me the same thing (this is ridicules, I know that Tiger-direct runs on Oracle and there is plenty of technology that would get the info I gave over the phone and have it updated on any database within a couple of hours max). Keep in mind it's just a few days before Christmas and I expected to be able to use these that day or the next. I make this complaint against TigerDirect.com because they are selling this service/product their customer service reps are promoting and sending customers to this rip-off company.
