A few days ago I made a reservation through Olotel.com for a specific hotel in Los Angeles. Olotel had the cheapest rate (standard rate $201-$134; Olotel $88), which should have been a red flag. The total cost of $627.03 was charged to my credit card. I called the hotel 2 days later to confirm my reservation. To my surprise the hotel had no record of my reservation. I have been unsuccessful in my attempts to speak with anyone at Olotel (via email and telephone). I waited on hold for 30 minutes when I called 646.843.6980 and never spoke with anyone. I called my credit card company and filed a complaint to dispute the charges.

It is my experience that when you reserve a hotel through a 3rd party company it only takes 1-2 hours for the reservation to show up in their system. I called the hotel several times and got the same answer, "We do not have a room reserved for you on those dates." I provided them with reference, client and booking numbers, telephone number and e-mail address and they could not find me in their system. I highly advise against using Olotel.
