My 14 y.o. son got a phone for his birthday.
I did not buy a data plan, just the simple stuff.
He downloaded a game using wi fi and purchased some bonuses which he thought was for the game money, not real money.
Many kids don't even read what they click on, my kid is not an exception. Has a bit of ADHD.
Next month I get a bill from Fido with charges from Gameloft for total of $90.
I spent 30 min on the phone with Fido figuring out what was that and why is that happening.
This is outrageous.
Gameloft is using minors to sell them useless game bonuses and then parents get bills without any consent whatsoever.
I am not going to pay for nothing, thank you Gameloft.
