I received a notice letter from Data Register Pte Ltd with the Sing logo asking me to provide email address to register my dad's co.else it will be deleted from database within a week. I did noticed that it was from a pte ltd and not gov, I was a little doubtful but thinking it was from a gov agency with that logo on the letter i believed it. And when i enter the website it had all the details correct hence thinking it was real.Upon submitting the data online, it indicates that we will receive an email confirmation from the co.But I waited and receive nothing.I was abit suspicious about it because if it is from a legitimate co.or from gov, it will send me email as indicated but since I only provided an email, decided to just wait and see. My suspicion that it was a scam was confirmed when I received the payment notice on 17 Jan amt of SGD490 for the subscrition fee which I didn't even know. Have just submitted a complaint to ACRA.I'm angry and curious as to how did this co.get hold of the registered co.owner's name, registration no., addr making it to be look so real as if from gov or gov agency?
