After agreeing a fee to purchase my house National Homebuyers later tried to reduce the agreed price by a dramatic amount. They claimed that valuers had valued it at substantially less yet my own valuers proved different.
I believe rather than being up front National Homebuyers deliberately try to put you in a situation whereas either way you will lose money. Legal costs for the selling and purchasing the replacing property were at an advanced stage when they decide to change their offer leaving you out of pocket and in a bad situation in a chain where you let down other people. This could have been avoided if the company did a proper investigation and valuation prior to making an offer. But they want to get you into a vulnerable position before they do that. This is no accident - it is there tactics.
