My husband (fiancee at the time) and I went to an informational meeting at a Direct Buy Warehouse. We listened to the pitch and we signed up under the notion that we had a few months to try it out before we would actually have to buy in. We paid $25 down and started browsing the temporary membership material. After approximately a month and a $500 deposit, we decided that we could not use the membership. We had not even been charged beyond the deposit. We called to cancel and the representative sent me to call their corporate office only to be rerouted back to the local office. After days of run around, I finally got in touch with the finance person at the local branch that basically told us that we can not cancel. We have not used this membership and have been barely managing to make the monthly payments. We do not intend to use it because we have since moved away from the local club we signed up with.
