When I first agreed to ordering these magazines I very specifically asked several times, "If I end up in a situation where I absolutely can not afford to pay it, can I cancel?" I was assured I could. I was to make 18 payments of $29.95 and receive 36 months of magazines. I have made 14 payments and tried to cancel as I am now unemployed and desperate to not throw away any more money. The Office Manager I spoke to told me she would NOT cancel the subscription as I only had 4 payments left and I demanded they replay our "recorded" message where I was promised I could. She said she would have customer service call me and play it for me. When I asked her to listen to it first she interuppted me (3times) and ignored my question. I told her I would have to close my acct and she asked if I wanted them to just send it straight to collections. I was absolutely LIED to. The magazines are not of any interest to anyone and I have told them that every time they call. The woman on the phone was very rude and seemed pleased to tell me when I said I would the BBB that they are not members. I looked and their BBB rating is D- and they are not members due to all the complaints and unprofessionalism. They take advantage of families with small children. It is a complete scam! The premise was I was only paying shipping and handling. If I paid 14 months and by stopping now they don't have to send any for the next 22 months that I already mostly paid for they have nothing to loose.
