Opald.com are a chinese website claiming to sell wholesale price computers from china. I purchased 2 hewlett packard laptops on 7th october and since then customer service have absolutely refused to tell me when they will be shipped. At first they adopted a lecturing tone and told me to be patient and that my laptops would be shipped in "the future" but refused to say when and now they are ignoring my emails.
They try and legitimise themselves by saying that they take paypal, however when I sent payment it must have been a brand new individual not business paypal account it was sent to because paypal initially did not recognise the email address opald.com had told me to send the payments to.
This tells me that Opald.com are scammers, who steal customers money by continually setting up small private accounts to take payments. When paypal freezes their accounts pending investigation, OPald.com just get another criminal to open up another paypal account to syphon off money.
Opald.com are nothing more than a bunch of chinese organised criminals.

I have been searching the web to see if anone has had dealings with this company. I came close to ordering laptops from them but was a little put off by them being in China. I also found that the email address they were using for paypal was some one in Romania. I least I think that is where he was. Here is a bit of the online chat I had with oplad.com before I decided against ordering from them.
"service: Hello, Do you have any questions need help?
24.252.144.136: I was processing an order and got to the screen for payment through PayPal. I saw that the payment was going to this email address "[email protected]." Kind of confused me.
service: Hello, since PayPal is now policy instability, in order to secure transaction, we have to cancel online payments, please use PayPal to send payments to: [email protected] to
24.252.144.136: Who is [email protected] and what does he have to do with OPALD?
service: Contul nostru corporativ subconturi: [email protected]
24.252.144.136: Don't know what that means?
service: If you use PayPal, you can just send the money to: [email protected]"
I cut off the chat there. They either didn't understand what I was asking or didn't want to answer. By the way, I looked up "Contul nostru corporativ subconturi" in a Romanian to english translator. It just means our corporate sub account. Anyway, it is a pretty sophisticated web site with online chat and all, and I almost feel for it. -

No the live online chat person is just a stooge. They are not into telling you anything real about their operation, they exist to get you to spend. Once you have spent, they will try and flannel you with excuses to justify why after 2 weeks they still havent shipped your goods. When the flannel no longer works they just ignore you. As it happens paypal just upheld my complaint against opald.com and have refunded me the full amount.
I am sure that by now, opald.com have moved onto another criminal to use for a paypal account. -

With me is exactly the same thing happens.
I ordered one and was put off for weeks afterwards.
After 2 weeks you ignore me. my emails were not answered.
I do not know what to do yet, but I want to warn everyone. Please do not order on opald.com or dhls.com are the cheaters.
We have gone to the Chinese scammers glue! -
