I am in the process of moving and did a search online for "USPS address change" to get to the USPS online change of address form. The search results pulled up "USPS Address Change" complete with trademarks, so I thought that was the correct form. It certainly looked like the official form (which I have used before). I filled it out, submitted my credit card info (I had done the change online with the post office before, so knew they had to charge $1 to my credit card). I didn't get the confimation email right away, which I thought was weird, but hey, it's a government site, they tend to be glitchy sometimes. When I finally got the confirm email late that evening, the return address was for this scam company. After doing a quick search online to figure out what the heck was going on, I found several reviews of this company that explained the little scam they run and that they charge you a huge amount of money. So, I checked my credit card account, and sure enough, I have a pending charge for $40. A search for the company only turns up a dummy website. Fortunately, enough people have been complaining that I found some phone numbers in the comments section of reviews. I called and did get immediately through, but they gave me the run around about not being able to find my account since I called so soon after placing the 'order'. They're supposed to 'review' my request and maybe refund my money. I'm supposed to get an email from their customer service to request the refund. We'll see if it ever shows up. I did get the names and operator numbers of the girl and her supervisor I spoke to, but they refused to give me any information about thier company like the name of the departmental supervior or president of the company or even the phone number to call the department that is supposed to send me this email.
