Husband recieved a call from this company re google listing; initially he got confused and thought this was his Yell.com account so did the initial checks. Spoke to one adviser who gave a lot of blurb and said they needed to set up a p/w etc, then transfered to another person who checked name/address/company position etc etc and mentioned an invoice and costs - but at no time was it made clear that the conversaiton was an actual "agreement". My husband expected this to come in the post for review as you would with any reputable company. Next thing an invoice for £298 appears, my husband immediately called and advised that he hadnt agreed to anything and didnt want to progress. Very rude and agressive call with two employees who basically said they "didnt give a toss" and he had to pay as it was a legally binding verbal contract with no cooling off period! We refused and subsequently received a further email with a threat that nonpayment would be referred to Debt enforecement. A number of emails later in which we have researched and found this forum we went back telling them it was a scam - they have sent on an extract of a verbal recording but not the full call, only the middle bit where you confirm details etc so could be "construed as agreement". Have replied back again saying we are not paying, this is a scam and we have reported to trading standards and will take legal advice - waiting to see what happens next - be very wary, these people know exactly what they are doing and saying!!!
