A friend of mine told me she received a call from 704-200-2792 about a summons being taken out on me for a negligent payment of a loan. The representative named Mark Walters, told my friend that I had 24 hours to contact him, otherwise I would be served papers to attend court immediately. All of this because of a supposed delinquent loan payment that doesnt exist. I called the company back and asked to speak with the rep who called my friend. He couldnt be found, instead another rep asked me what was the phone number the rep used to call my friend. He pulled up my name using the phone number on file and asked me if my Social Security ended in XXXX. I told them yes. The rep then told me I have 1,832.43 balance that I am being sued for from a company, Quick Cash payday loans. The rep then asked me if I would like to settle out of court and to do so I would have to pay the whole balance today, or within the next two days. Then I was asked if I filed taxes for 2013 , I could take the money out from the refund. The conversation ended with the rep telling me that I will be served papers within 3-5 business days to appear in court. Please do not give out any of your personal info out to anyone asking for your banking info onthe phone. The same goes for social securty number and mailing address. I believe Im a victim of identity theft in this case.
