Good afternoon,

So this afternoon I have gotten a call reporting that our sdge would be shut off due to a prior payment being missed (which is where the fraud begins) then the person who identified himself as Joe Martinez in the disconnection department of SDGE. He then wanted the full balance of that payment sent to him via GreenDot Money Card. However I was speaking with the Manager of the CVS and she told me the scam on what was going locally to my area with her other commercial clients and how some of them got hit for 1000+ dollars due to the same scam.

He listed his phone number as 1 800 770 7682 or 619 704 9954. While in conversation with the Manager, I called the SDGE billing department to check the status of my account. As it turns out there is no one named Joe Martinez, and they will NEVER cold call soliciting money from anyone.

So do please be aware that this sort of thing is out there, and be wary of anyone trying to pull numbers out of you when it comes to account information.

This occurs, then we called him back some time later and what his response was "They have been looking for me for years and still haven't found me (him), and One person to another this is how I (he) makes his money, to which he proceeded to tell that he got 1000.00 from a woman in New York the other day.

Without the second set of eyes at the CVS it would have been a miserable day.I do encourage for the sake of the internet being what it is, that some government employee to read this they get off their ass and hunt this fucker down.
