I bought a £100 paysafe card from my local shop. Tried to use it at a casino website 15 mins later and was told it was invalid. I called the PSC helpline who informed me it had been blocked for security reasons. They then demanded copies of photo i.d, bank account details etc. to pay my refund. I objected but as it seemed the only way to get my money back sent over what they asked for. They then e-mailed me to say the money had been repaid in the form of a bank transfer but could take 10-20 days to hit my bank account.
To sum up, I paid £100 in cash for an anonymous(so I thought)service. I then have to provide enough ID info for an MI6 check and am still waiting for a bank transfer after 12 days in 2014. In what universe does it take 20days for a bank transfer from ANYWHERE on the globe???
This must be a very big scam where they are obtaining as much ID material as they can collect(any ideas why??) and are either permanently depriving or depriving people for as long as they can of their money!!!
PAYSAFE ARE SERIOUSLY BENT.
I have no doubt they have to run some security tests on their clients as the financial services authorities will demand them.
On the same evening I also went and got a £100 payment on UKASH and had the same invalid response. The difference being, UKASH asked for something that would I.D my name and address and dated within the last 3 months. I sent them a copy of my last community charge bill. They then unblocked the payment within 90mins.
PAYSAFE ARE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF ON A DAILY BASIS. KEEP AWAY. DO NOT USE.
On top of all the problems with them to add insult to your injury, the Paysafe customer service team have got to be the worst, rudest and most incompetant people on the planet who are tasked with serving clients and dealing with their companies problems. Saying that, it seems like they spend their days trying to defend an the indefencable.
