My daughter won a prelim and proceed to the State pageant application. We bought a Glitz dress, had photos made, paid deposit for hair/makeup for event, purchased trading items for other cintestants, reserved hotel, etc.
we looked over the paperwork and website carefully. There was no indication of a conflict. Our daughter is also participating in another system, for continued practice in front of an audience.
so, we hear through a parent of a contestant of Our Diamond Miss that the Director told her that girls who participate in, specifically, only the other system that m you child is involved in, could NOT compete in Our Diamond Miss.
We were told that ODM did not want the other system's "seconds". We are out a considerable amount of monies since the attire is totally different for the other pageant.
The director finally left me a voice message confirming the hearsay.
The paperwork and website were for forthright and I feel Our Diamond Miss should honor our application and, in the future, be professional enough to print
