When I signed up with youfit I was told that I got a complimentary hour with a personal trainer. One week later I met with Chris and he walked me through the procedure. He convince me to get a trainer and told me that I could cancel anytime I wish, he said it was a no hassle deal. I agreed and signed up for a trainer 1 time a week. I paid a $100 registration fee and my monthly trainer dues of $180.00

In May 2014 I had to cancel for a medical reason. I took my discharge paperwork from the hospital on the 15th of May to the club and spoke with the manager on duty. He tried to convince me to freeze my membership which I refused to do. Told me that everything was taken care of, I asked for a copy of the cancellation form and he told me not to worry everything will be taken care of, he had to contact their billing dept to stop the charge on my debit card. A few days later I saw the charge appeared on my bank statement and I contacted the club. After getting the run around for two days I finally got a call back from Chris who told me that I did not cancel within the 30 day period (written cancellation) or 10 day verbal cancellation.

I lost the money even though that was not told to me when I signed up. Lo and behold I looked at my bank statement and I was charged $180.00 for this month dues. I called the club and was told that neither the manager Tommy nor Chris was available and I would get a call back early the next day. The girl said that she could not find my cancellation form.
No call so I called the club again. The same thing, no one was available to talk to me and I would get a call back when someone was available. I called a number in Hillsboro that states it was a corporate office. Again the same thing I was told that I had to contact the local club, they could not help me.

Well Youfit club is being investigated by the attorney general office, and when I told the girl that I was going to make that call next she agreed to "pass" my information along to the regional office

I am not waiting, I am contacting my attorney. There are too many health clubs that offer bigger and better deals. You fit club is a rip off and consumers need to know what they are getting into.
