: We made a flight reservation with Cheapoair on 30th May and called in to Cheapoair to CANCEL the booking on the same day we did the reservation. It was stated very clearly FREE CANCELLATION on your website. Firstly, your staff had confirmed my cancellation and promised me that I will get a FULL REFUND in the next 7-14 days. At the point of my cancellation, the amount was not deducted from my bank account yet, it was only being HELD at that point of time. Therefore, I didn't think there will be any deductions since it was just being held and your staff can simply instruct accordingly and make sure no collection was made. However, the following morning I was very disappointed to see a deduction of approximately SGD 623 (USD 481.60) made by Cheapoair from my account on 31st May. Why did this happen? So in anyways, I called Cheapoair again to check on this but your staff kept trying to put me through some voice-mail system which obviously offered no help at all to my query. After multiple attempts, I then finally manage to speak to someone from Cheapoair and was being told more than 3 times that I will receive the full refund in the next 2-3 days (on 31st May). I checked my bank account every single day since 30th May, there was NO REFUND being made. On top of all these, I have been told varying and inconsistent information from all your staff. Can I please get some proper assistance and service here? This refund issue has been a nightmare and huge disturbance to us, and the service that was being provided to us did not make things any better. It is stated very clearly that there will be a FULL REFUND and Cheapoair, it is only right that you deliver what you promise your customers.

  • Rakesh, the refund was processed on may 30 by jet Star we have been advised by them that the refund takes 30 days to hit your charge card. Each airline is different and we are at their mercy when it comes to processing time. It hasn't been 30 days yet,but the refund they have assured us will be forth coming in a weeks time. Very sorry for the inconvenience.
