My parents received a call from Daniel Baxter" who said he was with "The Department of Legal Affairs", indicating that it involved "legal action" and that we should "consult an attorney" (of course, most people won't do this). I haven't used their phone number for nearly 15 years and I don't know how the scammer got their number and asked for me. Fortunately my parents told them they would give me the message. The person had a very thick accent and it was clear that his name really wasn't Daniel.
