TA truck stop parking lot, Antioch, TN, Saturday night, 12/27/14

Lovely young woman (claimed to be 19, Denise Laughlin, dad drove for Dart out of MN) had the whole "trying to get enough points in a contest so I can win an all-expenses-paid trip anywhere in the world" scam down pretty well.

She got points by selling magazine subscriptions which would then in turn be sent to Childrens' Hospitals of my choice or Veteran's groups.

Some of the magazines I would have subscribed to myself but Denise said that wasn't really allowed under the terms of the contest AND to be tax-deductible, it had to be a charitable donation. Don't want to break the law, do we?

Well how will I know the magazines are ever delivered? Apparently, St. Jude Hospital and the Shrine Hospitals will be sending me a thank you card by mail. She has my address & phone number!

Wonder how many times Life lock will be calling me in the near future? Lol

I'm not a kid. Been trucking for awhile. Maybe I should've known better but she was very good. Very well-rehearsed. Very believable & convincing. At 19, she'll have a lengthy rap sheet before long.
