Tried to make a booking with HotelsOne.com to stay at Hilton Hotel Islington on 29th August 2014. The website told me my booking had failed to go through. Three days later my bank account showed £157 had been taken by HotelsOne.com and yet I had no booking reference or anything else to prove I had a booking. I reported this to them …… nothing! I never received any form of booking reference or a confirmation email right up to the day of travel. I did stay at the hotel but through a second booking made direct through Hilton. It was only when I checked in was I told there was another room also in my name. I pointed out that I had no proof of booking and I was unable to cancel the room and therefore could not have the money back for the room! I have sent endless emails to HotelsOne.com and they have done nothing to help. It sometimes takes upto 5 days for them to even bother to respond. They took my money dishonestly, failed to deliver any proof of booking when asked for it and their customer care ( which isn't in England) is non existent!
