Rec'd a voice message from a Kathleen Strait from the US Treasury Department/Legal Affairs Division telling me to call her back because I was going to have to retain an attorney since a summons was going to be filed against me on Monday morning. She cited several counts including criminal charges. One of the counts was malicious utterances against the IRS. Thinking about it, I came to the conclusion that they would have to file criminal charges against 90% of the US population in a class action suit.

Called her back and she told me that they have been sending notices to me for months and I ignored them. She ran through all the counts again and I kept asking her questions about them to which she answered I would find out Monday from the summons and I should retain an attorney.

I tried calling her afterwards to get the spelling of her name and tried doing a reverse phone number check. Phone rang 3 times and went to a busy signal. Called 3 or 4 more times and it was a busy signal.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out what they are after. They did not ask me for money at this point.

If you know anything, please enlighten me. I would appreciate it.
