Impersonating US Treasury

This guy had heavy foreign accent; could barely understand his English -- Said his name was Steve Martin --I seriously doubt it!!
He threatened that this was our 2nd notice, and that because of our “deliberate avoidance,” we would end up in "federal court" "immediately before a magistrate or grand jury" under a " federal criminal offense" charge if we didn't call him back -- in his words, to "help me help you."
Said he was calling on behalf of US Treasury.
He did not even address any specific person.... just "you."
He did not specify any specific criminal charge.

I did not call this number back.
There are other complaint reports for this same #, although “Steve Martin” goes by different names.

Have no doubt this is a SCAM ....but what burns me up is possibility of someone who would be scared over this and call them back out of fear/panic.
Especially an elderly person.

Call came from Moorpark, CA, listed under YMAX Communications Mobile.
805-744-7020 was the number.
Also had phone # result from Russian phone directory.
He sounded possibly Indian to me.

Scumbags.
