It is a good idea to provide a service to the customers for a central place to post ads that link to Zillow/Trulia.
However, that is where it stops. This website and their customer service department is terrible.
Zillow feeds off their database and trust me, there are a lot of issues getting the data setup correctly. You will post the details of your property on forrentbyowner.com website, upload pictures etc. All good so far.
The next day when Zillow and Trulia get the data from this website, there will be many errors. The location will be displayed incorrectly, your details are incorrect, not all the pictures will be displayed. As a result of the incorrect location, the schools displayed on Zillow is incorrect - it will show some other district's schools and property information.
Good luck trying to get this resolved, because forrentbyowner.com just washes their hands off this and you have to deal directly with Zillow and Trulia. They will not help trying to fix what is wrong with their links to Zillow/Trulia.
I would recommend you post directly on Zillow or Trulia. There will be very minimal possibility of the data being incorrect since it is not reading this from another website. That way, you can work with Zillow's customer service directly if you have any issues and you are not putting all your data in a central website that in turn messes up the information of your property on Zillow/Trulia.
Forrentbyowner.com's philosophy is "Take the money and run. Customer can deal with Zillow/Trulia directly if they have any issues, not my problem to help or resolve". And that leaves a very bad taste in your mouth and endless hours of frustration.
