We received an invitation to come tour Styx River Resorts and get a free gift. It came just a few days after my mom had passed on the January 19, and this was on the 26th my moms birthday we thought it would be good to get out for awhile. We took the tour and the people were really nice until we got back into the office area where there were several salesman we told them we were just out for the day and we could not afford this, they would not take no for an answer the pressure was on and if one person couldn't get us to sign they would just bring on more. We could not get away from these people and they played on the fact that we were still in mourning for my mom. We didn't have a tent, camper or motor home and told them that more than a few times. We finally got the membership paid off then my husband came down with Parkinson's and I have been disable since 1979. We live on our social security and have so little that we can't pay the annual fee every year. We do without part of out medicine and food just to pay this. We were contacted in Feburary 28,2014 to come to a meeting in a motel to address some changes that Ocean Canyon had made. They wanted us to pay them $5300 to buy our contract back. We can't continue to even pay the annual fee most espically take a vacation. When we tried to tell them we couldn't charge anymore on our credit card they continue to call us every few days. Please help us with this matter.
