After receiving a dazzling free trial offer for Luminique Age Defying Complex cream at a advertised price of $1.99 my elderly mother eagerly entered her credit card details of the belief she was going to get two jars of this cream for just $2.
After looking at the way the product is advertised and marketed on the webpage I can understand why she fell for it. It was only afterwards when contacting the company she was told she would be billed $69.95 per month every month plus postage and handling unless she returned all the jars at her own cost.
My mother after being assisted by another person then discovered the large amount of complaints listed online by customers of Luminique who had their credit cards debited by Luminique. Fearing a scam my mother went to the bank and has cancelled her credit card and been reissued another with issues compounded with PIN number and card delivery problems. This whole saga has caused great distress and worry for my mother who never realised the sneaky underhand discreet terms and conditions that are not displayed well at all. I am angry at how this company has caused so much upset for my mother who has been the unfortunate victim of an unethical greedy company. There are plenty of other 'age defying' products out there just as good/better so vote with your credit card and forget this company. They have zero care factor so with that in mind what is really in the product? Can they be trusted at all?
