I searched for loans (specifically for veterans, I'm the widow of a veteran) and found Henry Miller. The reviews, testamonials ect were good. I contacted a few of past clients and all seemed on the up & up. Mr Miller offered great terms and because of my husbands service, didn't charge the processing fees.
This loan was to close in 10 days. The delays started, one thing then something else. About 3 weeks past time of funding, being ASSURED I would receive my loan I was told I now had to pay a closing costs because it was a large amount ($100,000) and hadn't required collateral..again because of my husbands military service. I had collateral which I offered and told it wasn't necessary, again my husbands service.
Bottom line, 3 months lost $7,000 and no loan. No further way of co acting him. He changed his picture on the website...still in business however.
The reason I sought a loan from his company, the willingness to work with a lower credit score (high 600's) and still have a lower interest rate with fast funding because of my husbands military service. Trusting, naive..I know. At the time, I desperately needed a loan. I lost money I could ill afford. More than that, having someone use the honor of my husbands service and my vulnerability. I know that I will never recoup the money lost..thankfully it wasn't more. I learned a valuable lesson.
